Valley Press Club Scholarships
2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Valley Press Club scholarships presented to high school students planning a career in journalism. Students may obtain applications from their school guidance counselors, or download a Scholarship Application and Checklist and Application Information . The $1000 scholarships will be presented in June.
Applications for Valley Press Club Scholarships must be submitted by April 1, each year, to the address at the bottom of this page, or electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org
Mr. Albert M. Jaffe, senior vice president for talent negotiation and production recruitment at ESPN, and recipient of the Valley Press Club’s very first scholarship in 1964, attends the Annual Scholarship event every year and generously presents a scholarship in gratitude of his successful career.

The Valley Press Club also celebrated its 50th Anniversary and received an award commemorating the decades of Scholarships the club has awarded since the 1960s - Over $100,000 in scholarships to local high school students pursuing careers in journalism. The annual event has been held at Western New England College for the past seven years.
